Recovery Suite - Infrared Sauna FAQ

Unlike traditional saunas that use steam or hot air to heat the room, the Titan Infrared Sauna uses infrared light waves to heat your body directly. This creates a deep, detoxifying sweat at a lower, more comfortable air temperature, allowing you to stay in longer and reap more benefits.

What are the primary benefits?

  • Cellular Detoxification: Sweating out heavy metals and toxins at a deeper level than traditional heat.

  • Muscle Recovery: Increased circulation helps deliver oxygen to tired muscles, reducing soreness after Pilates or Strength classes.

  • Cardiovascular Health: Mimics the effects of a passive aerobic workout, improving heart health and circulation.

  • Skin Health: Stimulates collagen production and clears pores for that signature "Collective Glow."

  • Stress Reduction: Helps shift the body from "fight or flight" into a parasympathetic (rest and digest) state.

How should I prepare for my session?

  • Hydrate: Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your session.

  • Wait after eating: Try to wait at least 30 minutes after a heavy meal before entering the sauna.

  • Clothing: Most clients wear swimwear or lightweight workout gear. Please bring a clean change of clothes for after your session.

How long is a typical session?

We recommend starting with 15–20 minutes if you are new to infrared therapy. Experienced users typically enjoy sessions of 30–45 minutes. Always listen to your body and exit if you feel lightheaded.

What is "Contrast Therapy"?

Contrast Therapy is the practice of alternating between the heat of the Sauna and the cold of our Cold Plunge. This "vascular gymnastics" causes your blood vessels to rapidly dilate and constrict, which is incredible for reducing inflammation, boosting immunity, and increasing energy levels.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes! Our recovery suite reservations allow you to bring one guest. They must be registered in our system prior to the appointment. Sharing the recovery ritual is a great way to stay motivated.

How do I book?

The Recovery Suite is available by appointment only. You can reserve your session through the Pilates Collective App or our website.

  • Wellness Founding Members: Your monthly complimentary sessions can be applied at checkout.

  • Legacy Members: You can purchase a drop-in recovery session for the exclusive member rate of $40.

Are there any contraindications?

While infrared therapy is safe for most, please consult with a physician if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, or are using certain medications that affect heat sensitivity. As a clinical-led studio, your safety is our priority—please reach out to our staff if you have specific health questions.
